Green Silicon Carbide for Fiber Array(FA) Polishing

Green silicon carbide (Green SiC / GC-SiC)for optical fiber array (FA) end-face precision lapping, fine grinding, pre-polishing & fiber connector polishing.It is used in FA polishing slurry / polishing film / polishing liquid for optical fiber V-groove arrays, PLC splitters, fiber pigtails and fiber array components.

Core Properties (Optical Grade FA Polishing)

  • Chemical composition: SiC ≥99.0%
  • Free carbon ≤0.20%, Fe₂O₃ ≤0.02% (ultra-low iron, no contamination, no dark spots on fiber end face)
  • Mohs hardness: 9.2–9.5
  • Excellent self-sharpening performance
  • Sharp angular micro-crystalline particles
  • Narrow particle size distribution, strictly controlled maximum large particles
  • Good chemical stability, inert to quartz fiber glass & ceramic ferrule
  • Low subsurface damage (SSD), low surface roughness
